I'd just like to share how happy my wife and I are in regards to how great relevar took care of my mother in law. We first hired a 24/7 home care back in February. They were good the first couple months and then the care started to slack off. My mother in law went into have knee surgery and it ended up being a 2 month hospital stay. We knew at that point... read more we needed a new home care agency. At the last moment the hospital notified us that my mother in law would be discharged in 48 hrs. In a panic we called several home agencies and none could find help in that short of notice. I called Relevar and spoke to Holly and explained the situation and that we needed home care in the next 48 hrs. Holly reassured us that they would have people on stand by when she was discharged. The day my mother in law was discharged relavar came thru. My mother in law loved all the workers. The family finally had a piece of mind knowing she was getting the care she deserved. About a month into having relevar we found out that my mother would have to go into hospice. We lived an hour away so it was difficult to be there all the time. The care givers would call us on a daily basis and let us know how she was doing. The last 6 weeks before my mother in law passed away my wife stayed with her. Not only were the care givers taking care of my mother in law, but also any needs my wife may have had. If it weren't for the caregivers supporting my wife emotionally I don't know if my wife would've been able to handle it. They were truly angels at such a difficult time. Just as a community service!! Misty also emails out an exhaustive list of charities and support groups & a list of continuing education opportunities for medical professionals. Additionally she puts out a list of professional networking opportunities in southeastern Michigan for medical professionals. As a recreation therapy company owner, I use Relevar's calendar of events monthly. I forward it to all of our recreation therapists & encourage them to get on Relevar's email list. I have used some of the professional materials she has shared, as well, like CEU opportunities & support groups for our clients.
